Ipfs Image ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

Some of our users are receiving an ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR when trying to view images returned from ipfs through the Meroku API.

Please see the attached image which shows the console output.

Do you have any suggestions for how to fix this? I am able to view the images just fine from multiple devices. Games: Games

Hi @halee

This happens because of how IPFS resolution happens

  1. Sometimes, the DNS Provider or the ISP have issues connecting to ipfs gateways. This is quite common and would persist
  2. The IPFS gateway also faces issues. This is not so common and would be intermittent.

The fastest fix at your end will be to update your DNS to for example - Google DNS

Let me know if this works.

We’re updating servings from IPFS to CDN to avoid these issues permanently. That should be rolled out next week.
